Erik Veliz

My Story

Erik was born in Panama and raised around the world following his father’s successful military career. Erik graduated from The University of Northern Iowa with a B.A. in Political Science in 2017 and earned his J.D. and Master’s in Public Administration from Texas Tech University in 2020. When the business world stopped working, Erik did not. After graduation, Erik moved back to San Antonio and began working on his craft: litigation.

Erik practiced criminal, civil, commercial, real estate, and probate before diving into insurance defense. Erik has focused his practiced in Bexar County (San Antonio) and surrounding counties. He is acutely aware of the differences between the nearby counties. Erik has assisted on several successful trials, which include minimizing damage awards in cases where millions are sought in damages.

Outside the courtroom, Erik is fond of martial arts. If he is not at the Muay Thai gym perfecting his kicks, you will probably find him supporting the Tottenham Hotspur F.C. or San Antonio Spurs. Eager to show his daughter how big the world is, Erik still travels often. Their recent adventures include night trains to the Grand Canyon, and flights up to Minnesota to play in the snow.
