W. Grant Bitner

My Story

W. Grant Bitner is a dedicated, versatile attorney with deep roots in the Rio Grande Valley. Raised in South Texas, he developed a strong commitment to leadership and service from an early age. Before graduating from Sharyland High School, he earned the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 68 in McAllen. Active in FFA and 4-H, he was elected as a Texas State FFA Vice President and awarded the prestigious American Farmer Degree.

Grant attended Texas A&M University – College Station, where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets in Company D-1 “Spider D” and Parsons Mounted Cavalry. He held leadership roles, mentoring and developing cadets through training, supervision, and academic support. While earning dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Agricultural Leadership & Development and Political Science, Grant worked at the Dixie Chicken, a renowned College Station establishment, balancing academics with hands-on work experience.

During his time at Texas A&M, Grant interned with Ag Workers Mutual Insurance Company, where he gained early exposure to the insurance industry, assisting with policy management and claims processing. This experience provided him with a foundational knowledge of insurance operations and risk management, which would later contribute to his legal practice in insurance defense.

Grant was selected for the Agricultural and Natural Resources Policy (ANRP) Internship Program, serving as a Congressional Intern in Washington, D.C. In this role, he assisted congressional staff with constituent outreach, legislative research, and hearings related to agricultural and natural resource policies. He also worked with Texas A&M AgriLife’s Office of Federal Relations, conducting research on the economic and environmental impacts of hydraulic fracturing in Texas.

Following graduation, Grant gained extensive business and sales experience before transitioning to law. He worked for Titan International as a Territorial Sales Manager, managing accounts across the Midwest, and later for U.S. AutoForce as a Business Consultant, advising dealerships on profitability and strategic purchasing.

Grant began his legal career in 2019 by enrolling at South Texas College of Law – Houston, where he was elected Treasurer of both the Student Bar Association and the Aggie Law Society. During law school, he completed judicial internships with U.S. District Judge Alan D. Albright of the Western District of Texas, and Justice Nora Longoria of the Texas Court of Appeals, gaining firsthand experience in both trial and appellate practice. He also worked as a summer associate at Waco Title – The Fair Firm, where he handled real estate, estate planning, and transactional matters.

Grant has hit the ground running at Tijerina, Denzer and Sabo. During his second week with the firm, Grant second-chaired an auto accident trial that resulted in a no-negligence verdict. His practice includes legal research, motion drafting, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.

Outside of his legal work, Grant is actively involved in community and professional organizations, including serving as a Committeeman for the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo and a Committee Member for Challenged Sportsmen of America, where he assists disabled hunters and fishermen in South Texas. He also remains engaged with Texas A&M and the Aggie Corps of Cadets alumni community.
